Első találkozás
2012. november 29-én este 7 órakor szállt le a két török kolléga, Bülent Ceylan, az iskola igazgatója és Duygu Kabatas, koordinátor, gépe Budapesten. Másnap Mezőtúr város polgármestere köszöntötte őket, majd a Kossuth iskola pedagógusai és diákjai a magyar és török himnusz elhangzása után énekes, zenés előadásban részesítették a vendégeket. Ezt követően a Túri Fazekas Múzeumba, a Bodoki-Fodor Helytörténeti Egyesület székházába, majd a Badár Emlékházba látogattunk el. Délután Gyomaendrőd nevezetességeit tekintették meg. Szombaton a Rákóczi iskola Adventi ünnepségén vettek részt, ahol a gyerekek énekkara, zenés műsora fogadta őket. Minden osztálytól saját kézzel készített kis ajándékokat kaptak, aminek szemmel láthatóan nagyon örültek. A két nap folyamán a gyerekeknek lehetőségük nyílt arra, hogy személyesen feltegyék kérdéseiket a török kultúrával, az ottani szokásokkal és iskolával kapcsolatosan. Még ezen a délután Herbály András fegyvergyűjteményét csodálhatták meg és a bűvész úr trükkökkel kápráztatta el őket. Az esti órákat egy alapítványi bálon mulatozással töltötték: sokat nevettek és táncoltak. Látogatásuk utolsó napján elutaztak Budapestre a Vörösmarty téren tartott Karácsonyi vásárba, és megtekintették a főváros néhány nevezetességét is.
Látva, hogy nagyon jól érezték magukat és sok kellemes élménnyel tértek haza, bízunk abban, hogy májusban az idelátogató diákokkal és tanárokkal ugyanilyen hasznosan és vidáman tudjuk eltölteni a 10 napot.
First Meeting
The two Turkish colleagues, Mr. Bülent Ceylan (the headmaster) and Ms. Duygu Kabatas (the co-ordinator) arrived in Budapest by plane at 7 p.m. on 29 November, 2012.
The next day they were received at the Mayor’s Office by the Mayor himself and his deputy. From there they proceeded on to Kossuth Street Primary School where they were welcomed by the staff and students. After listening to the Hungarian and Turkish national anthem, the guests were presented with musical performance. This programme was followed by paying a visit to Túri Fazekas Múzeum (Túr Pottery Museum) and Badár Emlékház (The Memorial House of Badár) in the early afternoon. Later that afternoon, they were shown the famous sights of Gyomaendrőd, too.
On Saturday the guests paid a visit to the Advent programmes organised by Rákóczi Street Primary School in the morning, where they were welcomed with a children choir and musical shows. The guests were also given different kinds of hand-made gifts prepared by each class by the children themselves, which amazed the guests and which they were really glad for. In the afternoon they had the chance to admire Herbály András’s weapon collections and the master showed them some tricks at the end of the visit. In the evening they were taken to a ball in Gyomaendrőd, where they laughed, danced and had great fun throughout the night.
During these two days the children had the opportunities of asking the guests some questions personally. They focused especially on the Turkish culture, local habits and schools.
On the last day of their visit they travelled to Vörösmarty square in Budapest to have a look at the Christmas Fair and some of the famous sights, too.
Seeing that they really enjoyed themselves and would return home with a lot of pleasant experience, we believe that all the students and staff coming here next May will experience the same joy with us during their 10-day visit.
